Voting Abroad Initiative

Demonstration, Ministry of Foreign Affairs
Call for international meeting, Wed. 11 May midday Beirut time
Lebanese in major cities across the world will meet on Wednesday 11 May midday Beirut time before their embassies and consulates to request that the Lebanese government meets their demands to exercise their constitutional right to vote in the coming Parliamentary elections.
The decree which details two simple steps to ensure this vote includes the registration of valid passport holders a week before voting date, and the transformation of Embassies/consulates into polling votes with electoral lists provided from the Lebanese authorities.
A peaceful demonstration will also take place in support in Beirut before the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
