Professor Mallat was also the lead commentator on al-Hurra news program, Sat. 17 July, 8 pm Beirut time (arguing it would be not be advisable to rush to the Security Council, and reminding the USG of Laura Bush's initial comment on the wall ,and of the risk of undermining its message of human rights and democracy in the Mideast).
He also appeared as the special guest of the two-hour long program hosted by veteran journalist Arafat Hijazi on NBN's al-Malaff, 15 July, 8 pm Beirut time (arguing inter alia the possibility of bringing cases across the world against members of colonies in West Bank for violation of Art.49 para.6 of  the Fourth Geneva Convention)
