International Criminal Courts

On July 17, 1998, the Statute of the International Criminal Court was approved by a massive majority of states gathered at the closing conference in Rome.

This unique development in international law is particularly significant for the Middle East and other areas of endemic conflict.

On July 1, 2002, the Convention entered into force after over 60 countries ratified the treaty.
